Unapologetic 4 offenses committed
unappreciative 4 services rendered
an exchange of words unthought of
at a bitter disagreement
and slowly you let go
you lose touch and connection
of a friend so dear
for your pride totally refuses
to approach a friend hurt or wronged
it goes and disappears
how proud you are!!

Deep down in your heart
you love and cherish
but then your pride
refuses to make up
for opportunities missed
for love ignored
for a gap created
you risk desperation
so you stop and wait
your heart wants
to keep a friend so dear
but your pride leads

you dial the numbers
you write the letter
type the e-mail
but then a second thought
why should you be first
to make up what you've lost
you fail to call,sign off or send
because of your pride
you lose a friend so dear

THE STEPS

Today, I make this step in life
and boldly join the changing world
of sham, drudgery and broken dreams
The world of morals polluted
but I know this test as tough
to carry on the teachings received
to fight against challenging times
so as to soar high like eagles

As I begin nation building
I learn not to be over-ambitious
for it only leads 2 disappointment
I learn not to trust a single soul
for it ultimately leads to torment
I plan to get my plate from my sweat
for this is the value of a man

I carry with me my good morals
the gentleman nature with me
and pray to the Almighty
To preserve my steps
and protect my strides
So as not to fall into the earthly
but may journey in the path of saint
As I make this step 2day
I knoweth not what the the world has has in store..
